Before you learn how to draw graffiti letters, you need to pick out your style.
Take some time surfing through the net to find samples of graffiti pieces and
tags. Print out the graffiti pieces and then get some tracing paper. Using a
paint marker, trace over the graffiti letters. This will help you realize the
different strokes needed for learning how to draw graffiti letters. Draw the
graffiti letters over and over again until you’ve got your flow down. You will
want to pay attention to what feels most natural in the graffiti stroke.

You can also find a lot of tools to draw graffiti letters online, especially
graffiti creators. All you need to do is put in a letter and you will get tons
of variations on it. Keep in mind that these graffiti creators are just for fun
and for finding styles. If you want to learn how to draw graffiti letters, you
will need to practice until your hand hurts! Only after you’ve mastered the
many different types of motions needing for drawing graffiti letters should you
start to combine styles and come up with your own.

There are now tons of graffiti games where you can make your own tags and
pieces on virtual walls. At the very least, you can make limitless graffiti
pieces on a wall without the cops turning up. These graffiti online games are a
lot of fun for testing out your style but a lot of the graffiti games don’t
really give you much creative freedom. Graffiti Studio by Vandal Squad
definitely makes one of the best graffiti games. This paint program gives you a
lot of creative freedom in all aspects of virtual street art.

You get to choose from various public transportation locations like a subway car in Tokyo or a London bus. The graffiti game also has lots of choices for medium such as spray
paint tips, paint markers and pens. You can even share your pieces with other
online graffiti players. I am still hoping that someone will come up with an
action graffiti game where you get chased by the cops, have to scout out the
best locations, and even have to worry about drip factor. With the trend in
graffiti games now though, an action game like this is undoubtedly coming in
the near future

Street artists have been using programs like Paintbrush and Photoshop as a
graffiti creator in order to design their pieces in a no-mess manner. These new
online graffiti creators literally take all the effort out of making a digital

Taking graffiti pictures is a great way to improve your technique. First of
all, it lets you have an objective look at your graffiti piece. You can also
build up a portfolio of your graffiti pictures in order to see how far you have
progressed in your art. When you take graffiti pictures, always make sure you
are doing it from the viewer’s perspective. If you are mainly working in back
alleys, then you will need a good panoramic lens in order to get the full
piece. If you are doing your bombs on billboards or the tops of buildings, then
you need to get down on street level to take the graffiti pictures.

Let’s be clear: there is a lot of street graffiti art but not all street
graffiti is art! Any serious graffiti artist would quickly chase off a hood rat
tagging some obscenity on their block. It is because of all these hood rats
with no artistic sensibility that street graffiti art is considered a crime
instead of beautification. Because of this, street graffiti artists should
really keep up a code of honor when it comes to their designs. For newbies,
here are some basic rules which you should keep in consideration:

Want to place a street graffiti work in the most populated area of the city?
Then it better be good! Locations which a lot of people see should be reserved
for masterpieces. If you just want to throw up a few practice tags for fun,
then head to the back alleys.

Practice makes perfect! It takes a long time to build up the skills to make
street graffiti art. Even if you have gotten all the skills down, you need
practice to account for the pressure of making street graffiti art when a cop
could be looming around any corner. Before going for those street graffiti art
masterpieces, do practice runs in abandoned buildings and on other low-risk
walls.

Most beginner graffiti artists don’t realize the close relationship that the
art form has with typography. Then, the artist sits down to practice his or her
tag until the letters are absolutely perfect. After this trial and error
process, it becomes clear that making a graffiti style isn’t much different
than designing fonts. With this knowledge, it is pretty easy to make your own
graffiti letters and fonts. If you already have your own graffiti style, then
you can use graffiti letters and fonts programs to enter it into a computer.
Otherwise, we recommend going out to photograph tags around town and then
importing the ones you like into the graffiti fonts program.

Anyone can throw some spray paint on the wall but it takes a lot more than that
to be a graffiti artist. A true graffiti artist has his or her own style which
is developed over time. This style is much more than just the way the graffiti
letters look – it includes everything from the way the artist holds the paint
can, the locations chosen, and statement made. A lot of beginners don’t realize
that you can’t just sit down and make your own graffiti style. It is something
that develops over time and occurs without you even realizing it.

The first step to finding your graffiti style is to do some research. Look at
graffiti pictures online and bookmark your favorites. Keep a camera with you at
all times and, when you see a graffiti bomb that you like, take a picture.
After you’ve gotten a large collection of graffiti pictures, see what they have
in common. It may be something as simple as they all contain lots of blue color
or something a bit more arbitrary like the alignment of the graffiti letters.
Once you’ve figured this out, you or on your way to finding your own graffiti
style.

Next, practice making your own graffiti tags based on the style you like. There
are graffiti markers and even graffiti computer programs you can use. Then, get
your basic graffiti supplies and head out into the real world. For your
practice runs, you should stick to back alleys and places like abandoned
buildings. Leave the highly-visible walls for your masterpieces.

Criticism is a crucial part of becoming an artist, even for graffiti artists.
Bring friends to look at your art and ask them to give unbiased feedback on
your graffiti pieces. There are lots of graffiti forums too where you can post
your works. After a lot of practice, you will suddenly find that you’ve got
your own graffiti style.
